Background music under an open ceiling, in a law firm

A cafeteria and lounge with no finished ceiling, music that sounds right and is controlled from a phone.

Delivered with the firm’s meeting rooms

The problem

Cafeteria and lounge with exposed concrete ceilings, visible ducts and a wall of windows. The need: a TV, speakers and Bluetooth, without spoiling the décor.

The speakers

Nine black Bose pendant speakers hang from the cafeteria’s open ceiling, spread so the sound is even at every table and never loud at any; white pendants carry the music into the adjoining lounge.

The audio network

An amplifier powers the cafeteria, and two MuxLab Dante processors link the cafeteria, the TV sound and the four meeting rooms on a single audio network. Staff play their own music over Bluetooth.

The result

A cafeteria and lounge that sound as good as they look, delivered in fall 2025 with the firm’s four Microsoft Teams rooms.
